Mastery is a weapon-specific progression system in 33 Immortals that enhances and personalizes each weapon’s combat potential. As players continue to use a weapon during rebellion runs, they unlock unique upgrades called Mastery Traits that expand combat strategies, support team synergy, and amplify core mechanics like Special Abilities and Ability Meters.

Overview[edit | edit source]

Each Weapon in the game has its own Mastery track. These Masteries scale stats, unlock passive abilities, and create new variants of core attacks. Mastery is earned during rebellion runs and offers replayability by encouraging players to try different builds, stat combinations, and combat roles.

How to Unlock[edit | edit source]

  • Mastery unlocks are tied to weapon usage and in-run progression
  • Players select traits from a pool once available during the run
  • Mastery upgrades may appear in Dark Woods customization or as rewards after boss fights
  • Certain Relics and Perks can enhance Mastery effects

Mastery Types[edit | edit source]

Mastery traits vary depending on the weapon and are designed to support specific playstyles. Each level of Mastery offers increasingly powerful traits, typically scaling in the following areas:

  • Base stats (e.g., +1 Attack, +1 Vitality, +1 Empathy)
  • Combat behavior (e.g., faster attack speed, added AoE, mobility buffs)
  • Resource mechanics (e.g., faster meter generation, extended charges)
  • Conditional power effects (e.g., bonus damage at low health, enhanced crowd control)

Weapon Examples[edit | edit source]

Sword of Justice[edit | edit source]

  • Shockwave – Emit damaging pulses when Justice is above 50%
  • Final Justice – Always trigger Gavel Bash with Heavy Slash
  • Spin Slash – Turns charge attacks into large AoE hits
  • Upgrade Effect: +1 Vitality per level

Daggers of Greed[edit | edit source]

  • Greedier – Increases max Greed storage but consumes all on use
  • Quick Strike – Boosts light attack speed after successful hits
  • Mortal Slashes – Bonus damage against low-health enemies
  • Upgrade Effect: +7.5% Critical Damage per level

Bow of Hope[edit | edit source]

  • Double Shot – Fires two Heavy Arrows in a spread pattern
  • Mobile Light – Increases movement speed during Guiding Light
  • Auto Recall – Arrows return automatically after a short delay
  • Upgrade Effect: +1 Attack per level

Staff of Sloth[edit | edit source]

  • Torpor Wave – Turns Torpor into a moving projectile
  • Outburst – Periodically damages slowed enemies
  • Lethargy – Stronger slow, but removes passive Sloth regen
  • Upgrade Effect: +1 Empathy per level

Strategy[edit | edit source]

  • Choose Masteries that match your build’s role: DPS, tank, or support
  • Experiment with synergies between Relics, Perks, and Mastery effects
  • Adapt Mastery traits to zone progression — AoE for Inferno, sustain for Paradiso
  • Enhance co-op effectiveness by choosing traits that benefit the entire team
