Every Rebel Soul begins with a baseline distribution of stats, which can be expanded through Relics, Perks, Mastery, and other temporary in-run enhancements.

There are three primary Characteristics in the game:

• Attack – Influences damage output

• Empathy – Enhances Co-op Powers, buff durations, and support efficiency

These stats are not manually distributed by the player. Instead, they grow dynamically based on weapon choice, relic selections, and in-run upgrades. Building your stats appropriately is crucial for fulfilling your role — whether that’s DPS, tank, or support.

• Increases the damage of all Basic Attacks, Charge Attacks, and some Special Abilities
• Benefits offensive Relics and damage-focused builds
• Scales well with weapons like the Daggers of Greed or Bow of Hope

Vitality

• Determines your maximum health
• Reduces the chance of being instantly defeated by high-damage attacks
• Critical for frontline roles and tank-style gameplay, especially with Sword of Justice

Empathy

• Enhances the strength, duration, and area of Co-op Powers
• May affect supportive Relics or crowd control effects (e.g., Super Slow)
• Ideal for players using the Staff of Sloth or support-focused perks

How to Increase

• Through Relics that passively boost stats
• Via Weapon Mastery upgrades (+1 per level in specific stats)
• Certain in-run events and rewards
