Converts Torpor into a slow-moving wave instead of a static zone

Torpor Wave is a Mastery trait available for the Staff of Sloth in 33 Immortals. When equipped, it transforms the Special Ability Torpor from a stationary area-of-effect slow into a wave-form projectile that moves forward across the battlefield, slowing enemies along its path.

Overview[edit | edit source]

Torpor Wave enhances the zoning utility of the Staff of Sloth by giving players the ability to project crowd control in a directional line rather than relying solely on placement. This allows Sloth users to control lanes, corridors, and moving enemy groups with greater reach and tactical flexibility.

Mechanics[edit | edit source]

  • Changes Torpor from a static circular field into a slow-moving wave
  • The wave travels in the direction the player is facing
  • Slows enemies it touches for a duration based on the amount of Sloth consumed
  • Still consumes all Sloth on activation
  • Enters a cooldown after use (standard Torpor delay)

Benefits[edit | edit source]

  • Can be used to slow distant or moving enemies
  • Easier to cast from safety compared to static zone
  • Allows for dynamic repositioning and mid-combat flexibility
  • Covers wider horizontal ground when combined with Zone Amplifier
  • Great for narrow lanes, chambers, and hallway-based fights

Best Synergies[edit | edit source]

  • Outburst – More enemies enter pulse radius as wave travels
  • Super Slow – Combines for back-to-back AoE control
  • Zone Amplifier – Increases the width of the wave path
  • Slow Duration+ Relics – Extends how long enemies are affected

Strategy[edit | edit source]

  • Cast Torpor Wave down enemy spawn paths or during retreats
  • Follow the wave to slow enemies while pushing objectives
  • Chain wave with AoE teammates to create zone traps
  • Use wave form to peel enemies off allies or protect revives from afar

Visual Indicators[edit | edit source]

  • Replaces the normal Torpor casting circle with a visible wave
  • The wave glows and distorts ground textures as it moves
  • Enemies inside the wave show a slowed aura effect

Summary[edit | edit source]

Torpor Wave turns passive control into offensive momentum. By projecting your influence forward, you don’t just slow enemies — you lead the charge. In the hands of a skilled support, this trait makes the Staff of Sloth a commander of the battlefield in 33 Immortals.
