Quick facts:Tokens
Tokens are collectible resources in 33 Immortals used to permanently unlock and upgrade various gameplay features. Each type of Token is associated with a different in-game system, allowing players to enhance their abilities, acquire cosmetics, and customize their characters. Unlike temporary currencies, Tokens are persistent and carry over between runs.
Types of Tokens[edit | edit source]
Tokens are divided into different categories, each serving a unique purpose:
- Perk Tokens – Used to unlock and upgrade Perks through Dante. These Perks modify a player's abilities by adding passive effects or enhancing combat skills.
- Relic Tokens – Spent to unlock new Relics in the Compendium managed by Virgil. Relics provide powerful gameplay enhancements during runs.
- Familiar Tokens – Used to acquire **Familiars**, which are cosmetic pets that follow the player. These can be redeemed through Charon in the Dark Woods.
- Cape Tokens – Unlock new Capes, allowing players to customize their character's outfit.
- Halo Tokens – Unlock new Halos, an additional cosmetic item for further character customization.
How to Obtain Tokens[edit | edit source]
Tokens can be obtained through various gameplay activities:
- Defeating elite enemies and minibosses in the Beyond.
- Completing high-risk challenges such as **Torture Chambers**.
- Looting reward chests found in key locations.
- Participating in limited-time events or special encounters.
Usage[edit | edit source]
Each Token type is spent at specific NPCs in the **Dark Woods**:
- Visit Dante to exchange Perk Tokens for new Perks.
- Interact with Virgil to use Relic Tokens and expand the available Relics.
- Speak to Charon to redeem Familiar Tokens for pets.
- Access the **Customization Menu** to use Cape and Halo Tokens.
Persistence[edit | edit source]
Tokens are a **permanent resource** and do not reset between runs. They play a major role in **character progression and customization**, offering players long-term investment in their builds and visual style.
