Resurrection is a critical survival mechanic in 33 Immortals that allows fallen Rebel Souls to return to life during a rebellion run. While Reviving refers to teammates manually helping each other mid-combat, Resurrection is a broader concept that includes team-wide recovery, divine intervention, and specific relic-driven revival effects.

Overview[edit | edit source]

When a Rebel Soul falls in battle, they enter a downed state. If not revived in time, their soul fades — but under certain conditions, players can be resurrected later in the run through:

  • Team-wide resurrection events
  • Special relics or relic effects
  • Spending large amounts of Souls at resurrection altars
  • Entering boss arenas with full-team revive triggers

Resurrection vs Reviving[edit | edit source]

  • Reviving is player-initiated and done during combat by interacting with downed allies
  • Resurrection refers to bringing back players who have fully faded or were left behind during battle
  • Resurrection is often global or event-based, while reviving is immediate and manual

Resurrection Methods[edit | edit source]

Boss Arena Resurrections[edit | edit source]

  • Some boss arenas (e.g., Lucifer or Adam and Eve) automatically resurrect all players upon entry
  • Typically triggered if at least one team member reaches the arena gate
  • Restores all previously fallen Rebel Souls, creating a new starting point for the boss fight

Relic-Based Resurrection[edit | edit source]

Certain Relics provide passive or triggered resurrection effects, such as:

  • Shrunken Papal Heart – Fully heals and resurrects the team when entering a boss room
  • Blessed Ashes – Chance to automatically resurrect once per run upon soul fading
  • Resurrection-related relics scale well with high Empathy builds

Soul-Powered Resurrection[edit | edit source]

  • Some late-game zones offer resurrection altars where players can spend large amounts of Souls to revive the fallen
  • These altars may also grant buffs or restore health to the revived players
  • Cost increases depending on the number of players and stage progression

Strategic Use[edit | edit source]

  • Keep track of how many players are alive to prevent full wipe conditions
  • Save resurrection relics for difficult fights in Paradiso or high-risk Torture Chambers
  • Use high-Empathy supports to time Reviving and Co-op Powers to enable safer resurrection opportunities
  • Reach boss gates quickly to trigger automatic resurrections and reset the team

Summary[edit | edit source]

Resurrection in *33 Immortals* represents the hope that even in divine defeat, rebellion can rise again. Whether through relics, earned Souls, or miraculous boss gate revives, every Immortal deserves a second chance. Managing resurrection mechanics can often mean the difference between a failed rebellion and a victorious uprising.
