Quick facts:Areas
The world of 33 Immortals is divided into four interconnected and thematic areas, each inspired by Dante Alighieri's iconic vision of the afterlife in The Divine Comedy. These regions serve distinct purposes, from player customization and preparation to large-scale co-op raids against divine punishment. Each area is layered with mythological symbolism, environmental design, and unique gameplay mechanics.
DARK WOODS[edit | edit source]
The Dark Woods is the game's central hub and the first zone players enter. This area is a place of solace, preparation, and knowledge. It is home to all primary Characters, including Beatrice, Charon, Dante, and Virgil.
Within the Dark Woods, players can:
- Equip and upgrade their Weapons and Perks
- Access the Wardrobe to customize their appearance via Charon
- Visit Dante to manage combat perks and loadouts
- Consult the Compendium held by Virgil to view relics and game knowledge
- Track and monitor the status of active Quests
- Prepare for raids into Inferno, Purgatorio, and Paradiso

INFERNO[edit | edit source]
Inferno is the first combat area accessible to players. This fiery and punishing domain represents the lowest level of the afterlife, dominated by intense enemy encounters and themed after the concept of eternal suffering.
Key features:
- First unlocked raid zone
- Maximum capacity: 33 Rebel Souls
- Procedurally generated arenas with waves of enemies
- Final boss encounter: Lucifer
- Defeating Lucifer drops the essential Purgatorio Key

PURGATORIO[edit | edit source]
Unlocked after defeating Lucifer, Purgatorio represents the second level of ascension in the rebellion. It contains more complex enemy formations and deeper combat challenges.
Key features:
- Requires a Purgatorio Key to enter
- Maximum capacity: 22 Rebel Souls
- Contains upgraded relics, denser enemy groups, and elite mini-bosses
- Narrative elements around moral judgment and redemption are intensified

PARADISO[edit | edit source]
Paradiso is the final and most sacred battleground. Inspired by Dante’s celestial realm, this area is pristine, radiant, and paradoxically the site of one of the game's most intense encounters.
Key features:
- Requires a Paradiso Key (dropped by Adam and Eve) to unlock
- Maximum capacity: 11 Rebel Souls
- Combat trials become surgically difficult and highly strategic
- Final raid bosses: Adam and Eve
MAP LOCATIONS[edit | edit source]
Across the different areas, players can encounter various points of interest, such as:
- Torture Chamber – Brutal combat zones within Inferno
- Bone Shrine – Sites to offer relics or unlock challenges
- Dust Shrine – Buff zones or lore interaction spots
- Reliquaries – Places where powerful Relics are stored or discovered
- Breakables – Environment objects that can be destroyed for loot
Area Progression[edit | edit source]
Accessing each new area in the game requires a key or condition met in the previous one. This natural difficulty curve ensures that only the most prepared players can survive Paradiso and challenge the divine authority.
- Start: Dark Woods → Inferno
- Defeat Lucifer → Unlock Purgatorio
- Defeat Adam & Eve → Unlock Paradiso
