Eternal Shards are a temporary but vital currency used during each run in 33 Immortals. Players collect these shards to activate perks, upgrade their gear, and unlock temporary enhancements that shape their build for that session. Eternal Shards are consumed during a run and are not retained after death or completion.

How to Obtain[edit | edit source]

Eternal Shards are acquired through:

  1. Defeating enemies in any combat zone.
  2. Completing Torture Chambers and side objectives.
  3. Looting chests and breakables across Inferno, Purgatorio, and Paradiso.
  4. Participating in special events and boss encounters.

Main Uses[edit | edit source]

Eternal Shards can be spent mid-run to:

  1. Activate and enhance Perks that influence combat performance.
  2. Power up certain Relics found in the field.
  3. Purchase temporary boons from event shrines or vendors.

Tactical Usage[edit | edit source]

  1. Use shards early to establish a strong perk build.
  2. Avoid hoarding — Eternal Shards offer no value after death.
  3. Time your upgrades before boss fights or high-stakes encounters.

Persistence[edit | edit source]

Eternal Shards are fully tied to the current run and **do not carry over** into future sessions. Strategic use during each run is key to survival and progression in 33 Immortals.
